Professional profile
I have always had the ability to connect and deeply understand people. This led me to becoming a therapist after many years working in Human Resources. In private practice, I work with teens, college students, parents and young professionals trying to balance their careers and personal lives. I have a great deal of experience working with all anxiety disorders, ADHD and neurodiversity. In my practice, I work with cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, mindfulness and behavioral activation. I have a business degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master degree in psychology/counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have written a few workbooks about managing anxiety for teens and college students, and have a non-fiction book coming out this fall called No Noise: Quiet Mind. Calm Body.
Welcome
I sincerely believe we can change our lives. I am empathetic, not judgmental and listen deeply to your story, dreams, fears and challenges. I will do my very best to help you.
How I work
I work with evidence-based tools to help you build self-awareness, change unhelpful thinking patterns, manage your emotions and calm your nervous system. In session, I listen to your challenges and we talk about how you can build strength and resiliency to meet those challenges.

Therapist spotlight
What made you decide to become a counselor?
After working in corporate America for many years, I wanted to do something that helped people and gave back to the community. I have always had the ability to deeply connect and thought I could help by becoming a therapist.
If you could teach the world one skill or technique to improve their lives, what would it be?
When you are feeling anxious ask yourself two questions: Are my thoughts true and are my thoughts useful to me in this moment? You might be surprised how many times the answer is no.
If you could recommend one book to all your clients, what would it be?
No Noise: Quiet Mind. Calm Body. It will be out in the winter of 2027.
How do you personally practice self-care?
I am a big believer in reducing the noise and inner static in the mind and nervous system through mindfulness, nature, and spirituality.
What inspires you to help others?
I believe we are all interconnected and when you help one person, you help everyone.
Who is your ideal client?
All of them!
How do you relate to Mindfulness? How do you incorporate it in your sessions?
I believe conscious awareness, no matter your path to get there, is the key to life.
